Bachelor of Arts

With an increasing growth and demand of psychology and mental health needs across the globe, international psychology is becoming a more recognized and relevant discipline. Focusing on communication and collaboration among people worldwide in teaching, research, practice and public service, our goals are your goals: improving international relations, addressing global problems, promoting social justice, capacity building and assessing cultural interdependency.

Due to the increasing growth and demand of psychology and mental health needs across the globe, international psychology is quickly becoming a more recognized and relevant sub-discipline, both worldwide and in North America.

As a student in this program, you will learn major theories, research, and applications of psychological knowledge. As a senior, you will focus on an international population/location – either as part of an internship or research project abroad or with an international population or cross-cultural issue/problem within the United States. You will be able to mix both types of experiences (internship and research) based on needs and opportunities.

The undergraduate program in psychology at Tiffin University also has concentrations in human services and addictions counseling (which can lead to a chemical dependency counselor license). You have the ability to mix concentrations as part of a major and a minor.

Testimonials

  • "Tiffin University is the college that has helped me grow into the person that I am today. While at Tiffin, I have made unforgettable memories and friends. I continued my education at The University of Toledo College of Law. Although I am moving on, I will never forget everything I have gained from my time at Tiffin University."

    – Jessica Paule, Class of 2015

  • "The aspects of Tiffin University that I really like include low tuition cost and the fact that there are generous scholarships available for international students. Tiffin’s quiet atmosphere makes it easy to concentrate on your studies, but the surrounding cities have plenty to explore including a vibrant entertainment scene.”

    - Xin Guo, China

  • "I chose Tiffin because it is a university with people from all parts of the world, and the fact I could be here and meet all of them is simply amazing. Better yet, I came here for swimming and it was an honor for me to be a part of TU’s newest athletic program.”

    - Ygor Bortolato, Brazil

  • "Tiffin University was my top choice when searching for colleges. I knew with nationally recognized Criminal Justice Programs, I would receive the best education for my future career goals. Because my undergraduate experience was so positive and rewarding, I have pursued my Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice at TU working as a graduate assistant for First-Year Programs. As a GA, I have been able to give back to an institution that has given so much to me and my fellow classmates. Go Dragons!”

    – Sean M. Durocher, Class of 2015

  • "TU gave me the extra boost needed to move forward with accomplishing my dream of becoming a small business owner. With the help and encouragement of my professors and coach, I was able to take that leap into the business world knowing I could not succeed if I did not take risks."
